Bug in Google search, shows porn links when searched for “-4^(1/4)”

There is a bug in the Google, where when searched for impossible terms like -4 “1 4” gives you results to porn sites. As if the term converts the search engine into “opposite to-Safe Search

This unusual behaviour was found at a post from Quora, the user asked

“What does “-4^(1/4)” mean and why is it connected to porn?”

Well I can’t show you the results, because of self-censorship.

It is not feature, but a bug in the Google’s search algorithms

Jeremy Hoffman, Google’s Engineer explains to the user of Quora that if you search for the following term the, expected result should come out to be “Null”. As you are asking search engine to search for the pages which contain a 1 next to a 4, but which do not contain a 4.

Most of you may say it’s because of the bad SEO being used by adult sites but it’s not, instead the algorithms set for the search engines somehow relate these queries to porn sites; and this is definitely not because of any Special SEO terms that have been decided to run on these site.

Whatever the case may be, but now Google will have to correct both: the calculator engine as well as the algorithm to discourage the resulting queries to show porn links.

My take on it:

Shortly the bug would be fixed, and again the algo’s for the search engine will change, so make sure you do this magic trick in front of your friends
